It laid claim to the best Coney Island hot dogs in the area. But, after 37 years, owners Jimmy and David Todorovsky closed the Atlas Coney Island at 3833 Corunna Road. However, the Joe and Dee Berishaj family purchased the property. Already the owners of Captain Coty’s Family Restaurant, they were eager to lend their expertise to their son, Dominic (Dom), who has been in the restaurant business as long as he can remember and is now the proprietor of the freshly named Dom’s Diner.
“We decided to completely renovate both the exterior and interior of the building,” Dom recalls. “We kept the diner approach, but we modernized the details in the décor and lighting.”
Dom’s Diner has a complete breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. The “Dom da Bomb” burger is their signature burger. Dom adds they will maintain their popular dishes but will keep constantly evolving specials.
Monday-Wednesday 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Thursday-Saturday 7 a.m.-12 a.m.
Sunday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
