The Flint Print Club commissions an artist to produce a print for the FIA’s collection and for private collectors as well.
The club, established in 2007, is limited to 100 FIA members in good standing at the “Family” Membership Level or higher. For just $250 annually, each participating member will receive a selected print and admission to related programming.
This year, the FIA is excited to present Jane Goldman as the selected print artist. Goldman is a nationally recognized painter and printmaker whose media include watercolor, lithography, relief, screenprint, intaglio and terrazzo. Her work is described as “lyrical realism,” an art form based on a combination of free association and direct observation. Goldman’s work is included in the permanent collections of the Bibliotheque Nationale (Paris), Brooklyn Museum, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Fogg Art Museum, Cleveland Museum of Art, Detroit Institute of Arts and the Library of Congress. She has had exhibitions since the early 1970s throughout the United States and overseas.
Almost as exhilarating as viewing art is the thrill of owning it. Each year, the Flint Institute of Arts offers an incredible opportunity for collectors from beginner to experienced through the Flint Print Club
The Flint Print Club has been a success for the FIA since its inception, with noted artists such as Janet Fish and Hunt Slonem being featured. This year’s Jane Goldman print is still available for those interested. The club offers art lovers a chance to build a collection to cherish and grow in years to come.
