Along with the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce, Sedgewick + Ferweda Architects celebrated a ribbon-cutting for the grand reconstruction of the building’s porch. Located at 410 E. Court St. in the heart of Flint, the Sedgewick + Ferweda Architects office porch was damaged by a Flint MTA bus last year. Thankfully, there were no injuries and Sedgewick + Ferweda Architects looked at this mishap as an opportunity to update their porch entrance. On September 18, a Porch Party was celebrated, complete with appetizers and beverages in a festive setting complemented by terrific fall weather. Along with the reveal of the beautiful new porch, a special hands-on design was unveiled on the porch’s concrete surface. Children from the Whaley Children’s Center proudly created a special artistic display that amazed all in attendance. In addition, donations were accepted for the Crossover Downtown Outreach Ministry and Whaley Children’s Center. By the way, people from the Flint MTA – and the bus! – were there to participate in the celebration!
